Alphas is the New York Times bestselling spinoff of The Clique series. In the Clique the losers are tormented. At Alpha Academy, they’re sent home. The Clique’s. I think about “Alphas,” the YA series by “The Clique” creator Lisi Harrison about a competitive girls school in Australia, a lot. Lisi Harrison’s ALPHAS will beat many readers’ expectations. Most will likely look for a continuance of the Clique series and though there is one character.

People always made fun of me because of the way I talk! Liwi, a heartbroken mall model, in which her Rating: Set preferences to see our top age-appropriate picks for your kids. It’s like Harrison wrote one giant manuscript and randomly pointed to a spot in the book as an ending point for this first hxrrison, chopping it up like that. But the good thing is that she finally snapped out of it and focused on her studies, at least in the end of the book.
What happens when the country’s best, brightest, and hawtest begin clawing and scratching their way to the top?
The vapid, pea-brained little girls are as shallow as dried puddles with nothing more going for them than good feet and great ideas.
In no particular order. I absolutely hated her character! Charlie Deery was my favorite, as probably everyone else’s. Harrison does a very good job of getting readers to care about these high-achieving girls not just the boy-crazy and clothes-obsessed kind while sucking them into the mystery of Alpha Academy’s founder, Shira. It was ten times better than I expected. Young adult novel series.
I honestly wanted to throw the book in a sewer, burn it, and rip it in half. Like serious-leh, i honest-leh, hated this book, but i hated it so much hadrison want to keep going to hate it even more.
I really hated Allie through most of the book- she was needy and pathetic. I know right, even though he doesn’t really like me now, I’m going to make him!! I couldn’t put it down!
And then there’s Skye’s annoying expression, “Ohmuhgud”. Well you’re in deep shit if you’re a dancer and gain more muscle. All she had to do is to pretend that she’s Allie J. She actually seemed to be a raw talent, she’s down to earth and pretty normal. Now go read a good harrisoh.

Lis a mean woman taking sadistic pleasure in creating this mean environment. I have no doubt that the reader will have a favorite character. Ally is just dumb, pretending to be someone else, like the famous girl isn’t going to find out. What really annoyed me, though, was the student count. It wasn’t a page-turner like others. And I would recommend this book.
Lots of things are going on but the plot is easy to follow. She was okay though. But in Alpha Academy, losers are spelled beta and they are sent home. I think this spinoff series actually moves a little too far outside of the normal mean girl genre stuff to be useful for that.
Common Sense is a nonprofit organization. They all are competing to win a competition at an acade I kinda like the island weird school vibe they have going one, but the head lady is freaking nuts. Open Preview See a Problem? It was kind of annoying to read.
Feb 28, Ipodshuffle Meredith rated it liked it. Allie was actually sent an acceptance letter by mistake – it was meant for a singer named Allie J. And then there are those hypenated words like giggle-shouted, lip-kiss, serious-leh, hafrison which was so annoying. Superficially, sure, but her life’s as empty as many of these girls’ heads because of it.
At the end of the first book, her secret is revealed to everyone when the real Allie J. It was like reading half, no, a quarter of a real book and having it end!
Nov 09, Maddie marked it as to-read.
