Lists with This Book. Jul 22, Yedidah Cohen rated it really liked it. I read the book in its original Hebrew. Even in its original its starts of choppy and disorganized but it is really worth perservering with as the journey on the train becomes a journey into the question of “Who am I?
I;m glad I kept going. Its a great read!

Apr 26, Andrea Ussy rated it really liked it.
A magical mystery tour. A child like adventure told with adult flourish. I got this book largely by accident and found it a real treat. Aug 14, Oron rated it really liked it Shelves: An interesting read with some interesting charecters.
Deals with the always-relevant issue of who we are – are we defined by our parents and past deeds?
The Zigzag Kid by David Grossman
The protagonist is an almostyears old boy, with some very interesting thoughts and complicated view of the world. I wonder what the 13 years old version of me would have thought about this kid and this story – which is aimed at YA audience. Sep 04, Deborah Sowery-Quinn rated it really liked it. A fun, fast-paced read. Mar 18, Sally rated it daivd liked it. It started off disjointed and confusing, but as the plot unravels things start to drop into place and reveal davld and more.
The pace picks up and the story grows more intriguing and engrossing until everything comes together so perfectly satisfyingly in the end. Oct 22, Rebecca rated it really liked it Shelves: Really quirky, heartwarming story. A coming of age story that seems entirely far-fetched, and yet has its basis in standard adolescent questions and emotions.

Jul 07, Abby rated it really liked it Recommends it for: Another brilliant David Grossman novel. This was sent to me by a friend’s mother who lives in Jerusalem. Grossman had just been translated into English and she thought I might enjoy his work. It was one of the best book recommendations I’ve had in years.
Since, I’ve been making my way through all of Grossman’s work. Just before Nonno becomes bar mitzvah ‘son of the law’ he gets a surprise trip.
It’s the start of a journey on which he’ll break the law many times. I liked that idea, just as the characters of the story and the way in which Nonno discovers who he is. The story raises interesting questions, such as to what extent we can choose who we want to be. Although some plot twists were a bit predictable I enyojed the book very much. Dec 29, Kobeest rated it really liked it. Apr 04, Shira Karp rated it really liked it.
This book started out kind of slowly and the prose seemed kind of choppy, even for a translation, but the prose grew on me and the plot soon became so involved that it was not at all disappointing. I ended up really liking this book and very happy that I stuck it through.
Apr 30, Naomi rated it really liked it. I definitely would recommend this book. The story was about a boy who was about to become Bar Mitzvahed, who was taken on a rather strange journey that enabled him to better understand who he is.

Trossman 27, lise. Alterna piacevolmente stati onirici e concretezze bambinesche. Oct 07, Baruch.
Berger rated it really liked it Shelves: A enjoyablechild story.
Dec 16, Anneke rated cavid really liked it. Sep 26, Itamar rated it really liked it. However, it was aa bit too far-fetched for me Ci sono momenti che non si possono misurare con l’orologio, ma solo con i battiti del cuore. Feb 10, Charissa rated it really liked it Shelves: Very, very fun coming of age story. Surprises all around, things which I had really not expected.
Mar 12, Robin rated it really liked it. My first full length novel in Hebrew I found it enjoyable, and sno.
