Existing students who have received tuition assistance with a passing grade since October 1, The Army is moving from a paper-based to an online based method for processing tuition assistance TA. They will finalize an online portal called GoArmyEd that will be available on and after April 1, for active Army students to access and use for coordination of TA for college courses. It is an online portal where students can go to process TA and track various aspects of their education including recertifying their TA Statement of Understanding SOU for each term.


Soldiers on active duty, including enlisted soldiers of the Army National Guard and Army Reserve on active duty pursuant to Title 10 or Title 32 are eligible to request TA online for courses statemsnt begin on or after May 1, From October through the end of Aprilinstallation Education Centers will continue to issue TA for courses that stqtement prior to May and post grades as usual.

When should I start using GoArmyEd. As of April 1,active-duty Army students will be able to set up an online account for TA processing for courses beginning in or after May Each time TA needs to be approved for courses starting in May or later, students will use the GoArmyEd portal instead of visiting their Education Center. Currently, the online portal is displaying as eArmyU, but all that will change on April 1, when the Army rolls out the www.

AMU students who are considering withdrawal from a course may find that a course extension is an option that would allow them to complete the course and prevent a withdrawal. We recommend that students review the Extension Process and Policy section of the syatement Student Handbook prior to submitting a request to withdraw.


Students who make the decision to withdraw must complete the withdrawal online at AMU and also through the GoArmyEd portal on the same day to ensure that both parties are aware that the student has requested to withdraw. Are there any restrictions I should know about.

Go to your AMU campus and complete your registrations as you have in the past. If you need assistance sgatement selecting your first course, please email counseling apus.

Get your GoArmyEd log in and password. You must use this information to complete a Prospective Student Checklist that is located under the Prospective Student View in order to complete the set up to use Army TA. Soldiers will be able to see a record of courses previously taken and their degree plan online understwnding GoArmyEd.

If TA is approved, a request for enrollment will be passed electronically to the school. Students using Military TA for tuition payment should register early and visit the GoArmyEd portal approximately 3 weeks prior to the start date of their course in order to ensure proper processing time.
