NB this documentary is now over 15 years old, so you might like to think about the extent to which it still applies to Indonesia 15 years on, and the extent to which you can generalise this analysis to other countries today.

John Pilger is a fantastic journalist, but this book is a collection of essays so it’s not a relaxing easy read. The myths of globalisation have been incorporated into much of our everyday language. Hmm, 1 million dead Indonesians sounds like rather a lot.
